Task to do: Avast has to be uninstalled from an old PC.
Situation: PC only has a screen of 640x480 pixels in safe mode ...
Problem: you get three parameters to modify:
- an editable field to edit path to program install directory
- an editable field to edit path to data install directory
- a popup-menu to select avast version
at the upper right corner you see parts of a clickable "En" (it is only an "E" and a halfway cut "n") ... (its the language setting)
at the right edge of the screen there are two buttons at the right side of the two editable fields mentioned above, but you only see a small vertical stripe of it ... clicking on them gives the possibility to change the directory by path selection
there is nothing more that can be done or clicked on ... besides clicking "escape" to quit ...
Obviously what is needed to proceed is out of the visible part of the window - and there is no possibility to scroll (even not by moving the cursor) ...
Question: how to proceed? When pressing the "enter" key nothing happens ...
Hi,
Depending on the version of Windows and the actual monitor size, you can try to change the Screen Resolution/ Display settings.
Select a larger display resolution or decrease the scale size for text and apps to 100% or less.
Alternatively, you can try to
Move the Avastclear app to the point where you can actually see the green Uninstall button at the bottom of the app.
Please follow these steps to move the app
1. Open the app in question (click on it if it is already open in the taskbar and make sure that it is minimized, otherwise, the
Move option will not be available)
2. On you keyboard press "alt" + "the space bar"
3. A box will open - Select
Move - you can use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move it
