New mass-mailer according to McAfee. More details:

Pretty sure avast! will detect it soon, as usual  :)

A few moments ago i got this virus in my mailbox,...strange,...my provider who serves the pop3's is secured with sophos....

Avast took care off it!!! hooray for avast!  :D

If you are infected => run a full system scan with Avast and use the "virus cleaner"

The virus cleaner can't cope with MyDoom yet.
You'll have to use the competition this time :) e.g.http://www.bitdefender.com/bd/downloads/removaltools/Antinovarg-en.exe

So - the updated avast! Cleaner (ver.162) is up on our web site! It is able to remove the Win32:Mydoom worm - it works like a charm  ;D

Avast is working GREAT. ;D

Since yesterday, I have received more than 100 of this virus.  The first dozen Avast notified me of the MyDoom virus.  After that I read up on the virus and found out what the subject lines were and since than I just delete any emails with those lines and an attachment.  But, if it wasn't for Avast originally catching MyDoom, my computer would be Doomed.   ;)

We have a Christian prison ministry with a web site www.prisonministry.org and thousands of people have our email address. :)

Since this virus is spread through mass mailings of hte infected computer's address book, it is reasonable to see how we would get so many infections sent to us.  ::)

Since I posted my original message (about an hour ago), we have received more than a dozen more infected emails.  :o

We usually get a few hundred emails a day.   :)
