HELP!!!!!!!!

My system crashed so it auto restored but I still have avast on my desktop but it's asking for a password and not my old licence code or the new one I downloaded just now from this site seens to work and avast is not in my add/remove programmes files

1. Use Avast Uninstall for complete uninstallation (read http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_uninstall_util.html)
2. Boot
3. Install again!  ;)

ok how or when can I find out where the the folder I need to get rid of

The default is: C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\
But didn't you remember where did you install avast? Maybe you can search your HDD to 'avast' word...

I did not chance anything so it SHOULD still be there but knowing my luck it has moved all by itself tut oh the plus side my computer is as fast as lighting but I will let you know how it goes
