Out ogf date Alarm from XP

I have installed avast version 4.7 Home edition along with windows XP home edition. It was working well until last week. when i receiveved a Windows XP secutrity center error report "avast antivirus 4.7.892 [VPS 0646-2] reports that it might be out of date" I tried reinstalling avast again . but still i get the same alert. could some one please help me on this

I doubt that you could have received this message last week ... because signature file VPS 0646-2 has a compilation date of 7th November 2006 and that is not a week ago anywhere on the planet.

Please check very carefully the day, month and year currently shown by your system ... it should be somewhere about the 9th day of the 11th month of 2006.
