the same here..i ise comodo and everything works like a charm..i don't want to break that by trying a not-stable firewall as pc tool is(according to Bob's test)..

maybe u should give a try to pc tools antivirus free which it is said that it uses KAV engine..(i din't try it though coz i've read some bad reviews)..

Have you tried it?
I have and my impression isn't very favorable unless you think not having internet access after
you install this fine program is considered the safe way to go.....  ;D ;D

Interesting, I wonder why they don't have this product listed on their main page.

I'm trying it out. So far so good. Memory usage seems to be only at about 4.100K

Actually, I did  ;D
Yes, it fails because not all ports are "stealth". Some are "closed". Non are open, which is the most important. Had tried Comodo a while back, found it too heavy and rather complex. BTW I was running Kerio, which is probably what I'll go back to if I decide to uninstall PC Tools, although Kerio is also heavy (but very easy - I was never very good with firewalls, a necessary evil for me  :P).

Hi all
According to PC Tools, their AV no longer uses KAV engine http://www.pctools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44703
I've been using Avast since 2002 (with the brushed-metal look and "Tardis" blue flashing light tray icon) and remember some if its shortcomings....
Chances are that PC Tools AV will also improve and significantly, this is the first AV (that I can recall) that is offered free for commercial users, not just home use.

According to that link you gave "it's using the PC Tools AntiVirus Engine which is based on another long-standing engine but is now separately developed by PC Tools." Rumours say it's the VirusBuster engine. For now (at least), I'd stay away.
