Thansk in advance,

Obviously, the AMS server address is not set correctly...
You can use the aswChAms.exe command-line utility to set it.
Simply run it like this:

aswChAms address_of_my_ams_server

BTW do you happen to be from Rouen (one of my favourite places in France)?

Thanks :)

Thanks for your fast reply,

Exactly, AMS Server was not defined on this Client, however IP address of the AMS Server is defined on the installation package ...
I have this error on several Client.

After defined AMS Server with 'aswChAms address_of_my_ams_server', I always have the warnings :
CClient:: PopupThread - GetConnection failed (0x7FFF0021) and  POP from Server failed (0x7FFF0021, res timestamp: 0).
So, my AMS Server doesn't see yet this client.

I use 16111 port to communicate betwenn AMS Server and Client, this port needs to be open in both ways ?
Because, my AMS Server isn't in the same vlan that my client.

Thanks,

PS: you know Rouen, it is however not a big place in France !!!

Ah, the dreaded 0x7FFF0021 error code. This means "not enough licenses"...

What does the Computer Catalog look like in the console? Are there any computers with the KEY symbol? Do you have enough licenses in your license file?

Thanks

Yes, all my Servers have the key symbol on the console :-(. What it means ?
I don't think it is a problem of licence, we have an educational with lots of licences (server and client).

Thanks,

The license screenshot you posted, is it from the AMS Maintenance Tool, or where did you make it exactly?

Also, how many machines are there in the Catalog, in total? Less than 300?

Thanks

Yes, the screenshot is from AMS maintenance tool and we have less than 300 clients to deploy with ADNM.
But, I use ActiveDirectory to detect the machine, so we have more than 300 clients in dynamic computer group. Is it a problem ?

If I use LAN to detect, I don't see all of the machine. Maybe some rools to add in our Firewall.

Thanks,

OK, that's probably the problem.
To work around the problem, it should be enough to simply delete all machines you do NOT want avast to run on from the Computer Catalog.

This will remove the key symbol from the remaining machines.

Thanks

Hi,

You are right, I use LAN to detect, I delete all machines I don't want to run avast and I manually add machines that it didn't find.
This will remove the key symbol (I have less than 300 machines in computer catalog) and I can deploy avast correctly.
Thanks for your help.

Now, I see all machines with avast running, but I always have a problem with my SRV-PRT-1 server : Return code is 0x20000004, dwRes is 20000004.
I see it in green but I can update it. AMS server is right on this server and I have no error message firewall.
If you have an idee ...

Thanks,
Nounzio

Regarding the updating issue... do you use any kind of proxy server to connect to the Internet? Have you changed the proxy settings in avast in any way?

Also, can you post the last say 100 lines from the file <avast>\SETUP\Setup.log from that machine?

Thanks

I found the reason of my problem, this server can contact ADNM server but has restricted access to internet in my firewall.
I modified this access and now it is perfect ...

With your assistance, I have now more competences to manage ADNM console.

Thanks,
Nounzio
