H.D. Moore, the man behind the Metasploit project hacked and poisoned the anonymous Tor service, just on the pretext that he does not want anonymous pedophiles to clog up his bandtwidth. His software and tools to do so is called "Torment"and this uses various techniques to link the content on the exit servers with the source, so the normal Tor proxy server becomes a "poisoned" proxy server. It is a bad thing for the people that rely on the anonymous Tor proxy service for their work as advocates for Civil Rights in countries that are hostile to their activities. They would loose a good tool if authorities there and government starts to use Metasploit's tools.
What about a hacker that would say, I hacked your organization, because maybe there is a pedophile within your workforce. Would not that be a lame excuse?
