Anti Virus Log Halting Outlook

Sorry if this has been asked before but I can only look through so many posts with the word "log" in them.  We are running Windows 2003 SBS and every morning we have to restart the server because the mail has locked up due to a message requesting we empty the antivirus log.  Is there a way around this  or should we be getting this message every single morning?
