Name a Firewall to run with avast Home

An Avast firewall? Now that will be an interesting development...   However as I've been seeing v5 hints for the AV Home ever since I've been using Avast Home, I won't hold my breath

Any firewall whilst it should be fully compatible and optimised for avast it should be stand alone. Many people arrived at avast to get away from suites, the Jack of all Trades and often Master of none (no slight in Alwil's products), bloatware tool. I just don't like suites.

Don't worry David, this is the policy...

Any firewall whilst it should be fully compatible and optimised for avast it should be stand alone.

It will be standalone and, if the user wants, integrated in a single control panel.

This is sounding very good so far 
All I hope is that Avast can keep up with its Firewall without taking programmers from the Antivirus 
Also Make sure that the firewall is at least as good as Comodo Firewall(maybe buy an existing product  )

I use Comodo with Avast Home and works great.  Can't trust Zone Alarm with all the problems now.

I tried a Jetico 2 beta (don't remember which one) & it froze my computer.  Jetico 2 is still in beta, maybe you will have a better experience.

Jetico 1, I believe is the best firewall.  Uses between 1 & just under 9mb of RAM, depending on how much you've got running on your system.  It usually ran at the lower end of the spectrum for me. 

I'm now using PC Tools Firewall Plus because Jetico 1 can't be set for MS updates.  I had to be at the keyboard to allow each & every MS update & each & every MS update install.  MS updates are no problem with PCTFW+.

We know avast! 5 will come.  But...
