Windows Defender vs. Spyware Terminator
« on: June 21, 2007, 07:03:40 AM »
I am using AVAST and Microsoft Defender on my computer and it looks good so far. However I read that Spyware Terminator is a much better choice than windows defender as free Antispyware. Any recommendations?

For my experience, Spyware Terminator is better than Microsoft Defender, but it could use more resources. Maybe your system get too stressed. You can test and, please, post the results.

You don't say what OS you are using but I assume XP.

Of the two I would say Spyware Terminator, though I don't use ST any more I didn't care to much for the interface. I prefer avg-as, there are others.

AVG anti-spyware (formerly Ewido). Or a-Squared free. Or SUPERantispyware.

I'm a SpywareTerminator (and Avast) user.
Like all security applications, hope you quarantined rather than deleted them, in case of false positives.
What were they called/where were they found? Did anything else detect them?
If this is heading off topic, might pay to post to the ST forums. (Link inside the program.)
