Constant Firewall Alerts For aswElam.sys
« on: July 19, 2021, 08:30:02 PM »
Is this normal behaviour?

Avast vps tool asks to load the driver ROOT\Program Files\Avast Software\Avast\setup\Inf\x64\aswElam.sys  several times a day.

This occurs two to three times per day, even though I allow the Firewall to remember this setting. This has only occurred in the recent past, since an update of AVAST.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, sounds like a bug in your firewall (if it doesn't remember your choice).

It does remember my choice. That's the problem. There are hundreds of aswElam.sys stored and it doesn't do it with anything else.

Not using your firewall, so I can't test/comment/help further. Maybe other helpers will chime in later on...
