Firstly let me say I have been using Avast for 2 years & am of the opinion it is the best AV out there by a mile.
However, recently I installed Vista 64-Bit and noticed that though the OS upgrade from XP included a hardware upgrade to a Q6600,GTX,2Gb RAM, Raptors, etc, I noticed a slight slowdown in my 3D games to the point of being annoying. After trying a number of things inc various video drivers, a format, etc, I found a fix which was to disable Avast.
The problem with this approach is that I dont have AV protection while gaming & if I forget to disable the AV I have to exit the game to do so which is also annoying. So for the time being Im using a different AV (Bitdefender) which doesnt lag my games if I happen to leave it on.
So I was wondering if its possible to have this issue corrected?
