Cannot start the cleaner!!!!!!

Avast! Home edition found virus Nachia on my PC. When i click `Repair`, it shows - cannot start the cleaner. What does it mean? What do i have to do????

Oh not again. I had the same problem few days ago. You probably deleted _avast4_ folder from TEMP or some other program did this.
I really don't know why Virus Cleaner file needs to be inside TEMP folder ???

I believe you don't mean "repair", but "completely remove the virus from system", right?
Did you delete some files in temp folder before you tried to start the Cleaner?
Restarting the computer should create the file again.

I think just rebooting fixes it, avast copies its file there during startup.

doh, u beat me to it.........

If you want to use a temp cleaner, its best to use one that you can specify a "only files older than 7 days" etc option like the below, rather than all files which can cause problems with many software apps.

Or use a cleaner that allows you to add files and folders to an exclude list. See screen capture!  I use Ace Utilities.

Interesting......I am not seeing that file in the avast folder in Windows/Temp now. I wonder why?
