New virus Mal/ObsHTML-A - Is it detected by Avast ?
« on: November 09, 2007, 12:22:34 AM »
I operate an IIS web server and some visitors have reported this malware

Apperantly, it is a new virus, reported only by Sophos and only since october 30th

http://www.sophos.com/security/analyses/malobshtmla.html

Does anyone know something about it ? (and what to do)

Avast admin: are you aware ?

Many thanks

Hello aramyus,

The best possible defense against this is running Firefox with the NoScript extension.

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!
