virus 2(1).ani cve-2007-0038

ive been infected by a virus called 2(1).ani description cve-2007-0038.
its been located at c:\users\myname\adddata\local\microsoft\temporaryinternetfiles\low\content.
note:i run on vista.
the virus has been moved to the virus chest.
now i dont have a repair button,is restore the same as repair?
and what to do now?can i delete the virus cause it is in temp internet files?

No the restore 'does what it says on the tin,' restores the file to the original location only.

When a virus is first detected if it can possibly be repaired the Repair button will be active.
Only files that have been infected by a virus infecter can have the infected part removed, which is unlikely in this case as the complete file is likely to be malicious, so there is no effective repair other than what you did or deletion (which is a poor first option).

There is no rush to delete anything from the chest, a protected area where it can do no harm. Anything that you send to the chest you should leave there for a few weeks. If after that time you have suffered no adverse effects from moving these to the chest (highly unlikely for a file in the temp internet folder), scan them again (inside the chest) and if they are still detected as viruses, delete them.

I would suggest as a precaution to clear your Temp Internet Files.
