Why I Cancelled My Avast Subscription

It has nothing to do with the quality of the product. It has everything to do with the new wave of marketing that to me is just plain disgusting...

When a company gives me a price for a service, I expect that is the price. Not with Avast. After I decline their dozens of offers even though I've paid my subscription, I get to the point that I turn off the auto renewal, and then I receive a new, lower price offer. I decline, and then the last week of my service I get pop-up after pop-up warning me of my soon to expire status. But then on the last day I get an even lower offer. This practice of constantly displaying ads in the guise of scan results, in addition to giving me higher prices up front, is invasive, disrespectful, and in my mind, dishonest. What are you, snake oil sellers? Have a little dignity.
