System Scan Log No Longer Appears
« on: December 08, 2007, 01:23:48 PM »
The scan log which use to display after a complete system scan, no longer appears. It seems that logs are created, but nothing displays at the end of a scan and I can't seem to find a setting to enable or disable the report.

Amendment to above, twenty minutes later:

I was unaware of an updated version, 4.7.1098.
I installed the update, and the report is back.
However, I'd like to know what to do if this situation should appear again; run repair, re-install, or is there a setting that I am over looking?

I'm convinced that the problem was not with Avast. I experienced several problems when upgrading my firewall.

Program settings > Report should do the trick.
How are you starting scanning? Right clicking the file? If so, use 'Show results of Explorer Extension'.

Thank you Tech for your reply. I did have settings set as you suggested. As I said in my "amendment", apparently while you were replying, I believe the cause of my problem was with a firewall update.

???
Strange... what is the relation between logs/reports and firewalls?
Which firewall are you talking about?
