accessing white list exceptions

I need to add an exception to my avast whitelist. All instructions I find suggest the following: go to settings - general - exceptions. But when I go to general, I cannot find any reference to any tab that shows exceptions. Please advise

Which Avast product are you using ?

If it is one in the products for this sub-forum - Avast Free Antivirus / Premium Security (legacy Pro Antivirus, Internet Security, Premier).

Then it should be in the location stated, see attached images.  You have to click the Exceptions to expand it.
