My 60 days trial Avast 4 Pro is over and I am planning to buy the Pro version, I went back to the Avast 4 Home Edition and I ran HouseCall Trend Micro free online virus before I run the Home version.

I have no virus shown from Trend Micro HouseCall and when I run the virus checking from the Home version, please advise if this is normal safe and okay Avast 4 Home cannot scan these file for virus see below.

Remember I have no virus from HouseCall online.

Yes, it is perfectly OK. The files are password protected and cannot be scanned. (It doesn't mean they are infected - the SpyBot app simply stores its data in a password-protected ZIP; it's a known fact).
Trendmicro cannot scan the files either - it just didn't bother to let you know about it.

Igor,

Thank you for checking just want to make sure I'm okay, I didn't know Trend Micro cannot scan password protected files, thank for telling me that.

Can you please explain why? Avast unable to these password protected files, and how can we make sure we are safe from virus from these password protected files.

Is there away if this can be added into the Avast 4 Home and Pro to be able to scan these password protected files in the future.

Could you please explain why.

No, it cannot.
The reason is very simple: "password-protected" means that the files are encrypted, using the password. It is not possible to unpack (and scan) the files without knowing the password.
