Over the three past weeks, you may have noticed an increased number of devices asking for a restart. This unusual situation was due to three updates of our Antivirus application that were needed to keep customers safe and endpoints operating smoothly. Applying each update required a reboot, which for managed devices, is controlled by the policy settings within the management console you are using.
If your Antivirus policies are configured to automatically reboot or to reboot when the user logs off, your devices have already completed multiple reboots. If you have configured the policy to never reboot, you should have received multiple reboot alerts in your console for the affected devices. Both of these outcomes are to be expected when your policies are configured this way. You can find the reboot/restart settings in your policy under "General settings," as shown in the following knowledge base articles.
