Serious Issues unable to resolve
« on: November 05, 2022, 05:14:36 AM »
Hi all, hope someone can help.

Went in to change and remove apps from the Ransomware protection section of Avast One.
Just wanted to change some from allowed to blocked and vice versa. Everything is password protected.
So I enter my password - The wrong password was detected on the Avast One app... So I go to the Avast website with no issue logging in. Weird right same password yet the app won't accept me.
I'm running windows 10 as Admin. My Avast One says it updated the avast one on 03.11.2022 to program version 22.10.6038 (build 22.10.7633.752)

The App shows I'm logged in. every time I close and open it.
I try to access the setting in the app - password protected, if I click to cancel the App shutdown and I have to click it to open again.

I then try to uninstall/ update the app. I have even tried to use avastclear.exe throws me into safe mode but my password doesn't allow me to access safe mode.
I restart pc back to windows where my password works fine.

Do I have a virus that has locked me out of avast one?
What the heck can I do?

Hi,

It seems you are referring to the Avast application Password - which can be different from your Avast Account password.
I would suggest you follow the steps mentioned here for Avast One.
