This is not an indication this is a virus, but I believe an alert on a website by the Web Shield.

The reference number is meaningless to those of us on the forum, post a screenshot of the Avast Alert window, with the more details option open.  See attached screenshot on how to attach it.

If this is as I suspect a webshield alert then this could well be a browser add-on trying to call home (hence the screenshot request).

Something is running PowerShell and it is trying t connect to that URL.

Is this something you are aware of (e.g. do you have power shell and were you running a power shell script)  ?

If not then there is a possible undetected piece of malware running a power shell script to connect to this site.  If so you may need specialist help to find and remove it.

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

maybe i need Avast to remove it...

We ask questions to gather information and try to help, without it we (Avast Users) are pretty helpless.

Avast is prevention access to the suspect site.

Why is Power Shell running on your system and are you even aware of it running as I asked previously  ?

Avast can only remove what it considers malware, etc.  Simply running a power shell script isn't necessarily malicious.  The fact it tries to connect to a site considered suspect is where it steps in.

Avast blocked you from getting to those sites so what makes it bad? Avast did it's job.

Malware removed the script which in itself isn't malware.

Since you don't say what it was that MBAM actually found, but I rather doubt it was 300 'viruses' there are many categories but actual 'viruses' are very rare.

I do know that Malwarebytes finds many "PUP's". Many of them turn out to be utilities that can be used
for both good and evil.
