Is this the feature request link?
If so, might you update the bookmarks manager to include the ability to add dividers ("|") to the bookmark bar? This would help to organize the bar beyond sites and folders.

Could you please have an option to make our backgrounds more personalized. I would love to have something of my own preference other than a blank screen.  :)

Hardware acceleration filter

Simply put, a filter for what websites hardware acceleration should not be used on.

Could you please make it so you can mute tabs on a site instead of muting the whole site?

It should be possible to enable sync of the Avast Secure Browser settings when signed in.

Would be nice to have a tab screen like Speed Dial 2 or 3, the basic home screen is too wonky.

I would love it if the Avast browser had a similar feature to the Brave browser that would block cookie consent notices EU regulation requires that any website that plans to use tracking cookies must have consent from the user before it is installed it is hard to imagine how irritating this will become when you surf the web anonymously or the cookies are deleted every time you close your browser some extensions already do this but aren't very well known as even the most popular of these extensions "I don't care about cookies" doesn't even have a million users and also they aren't trusted by avast as I don't see any cookie consent blockers in the addons store this doesn't automatically mean they are dangerous but there have been instances where extension developers sold out to sketchy people to put people accounts on certain websites at risk of being hacked (like the searchblox incident)

I would love to see a default Snipping tool similar to the Firefox "Take Screenshot" and on the mouse right-click menu. :)

Strangely enough I have been using Firefox for more years than I can remember and I have never used this function.

That said I use a dedicated image capture software (Snagit) as it gives me much more flexibility.

1.) Start page should have the ability to turn off last visited sites. How is it a secure browser if it shows a list of all the sites you have previously visited and you cannot stop that?
2.) Why does the start page use google, how is that secure? Why cant I add duckduckgo as my default home page and or search engine? Is it because you are trying to get paid by google? Secure my a....
3.) Why cant I kill all of the threads and processes that are showing up for avast browser? Makes me think you are spying on me and collecting info. This will be the reason I uninstall this browser.

I need some help to understand and correct a problem with this browser.

I am a gray-haired non-IT person and recently adopted Avast to provide security. The default search engine in Avast apparently is MS Bing, which I have never tried before.  The problem is that when I attempt a search, all that happens is that I get a message that says "There are no results". Is there some hoop I have to jump through, or another search engine that I can use within this browser?

Also, on this forum screen the verification task includes two small yellow rectangles that have letters so tiny and blurred they are unreadable. I've tried listening to the spoken letters but it is tough to distinguish between what may be V, B, or D. I will do a best guess in the hope that this message will be accepted (first attempt just failed). Not user friendly, but I guess - as with the search engine - totally secure if it is impossible to use....

1.  The Avast Browser Security Add-on doesn't come by default (with Avast Antivirus), you have to have installed it for your browser, if you aren't using the 'Avast Secure Browser' of this sub forum.
You don't say what Avast Program (Avast One or Avast Antivirus) you are using ?

I Have been using Firefox as my default browser for a very long time, you aren't forced to use the Avast Secure Browser,  if you are happy with your previous browser I would say stick with that for a while and just get used to the the Avast program.  There are ways to change the default search engine, as a non avast secure browser I can't comment on how to change it.  Hopefully someone who dos can chip in.

2.  The verification is an anti spam measure (which doesn't seem to effect spammers) for your first 3 posts.
