Avast causes Google Chrome crash in one situation. SOLVED/FIXED

Hi,
my Chrome always crashes when I click on "Automatic download" button in URL bar.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Allow "Automatic download" on any site, in my case is cloud storage Sync.com
2. Download more files at once (automatically), then "Automatic download" icon appear in URL bar.
3. Click on that icon, it will show settings button, or close, but this tab has no text now. Anything you touch here, Chrome instantly crashes.

I did test without Avast installed and this not happen, everything worked normally.

Win 10 64bit 22h2
Chrome 115.0.5790.171 64bit
Avast Free 23.7.6074

It's a simple enough question. When I download anything, I'm asked where I want the download to be saved to.
I don't know of an automatic download function in Chrome.

I don't know what version of Chrome you're using.
I'm using Version 115.0.5790.171 (Official Build) (64-bit) and don't see that setting in Chrome

Thanks, I found the setting. I can't try your problem since I don't use
Cold storage sync. I've reported the problem to Avast.
Let's see if that helps get this resolved.

Now it is fixed, but i dont know if Avast fixed this or update Chrome to 116.

Since I've not heard anything from Avast, your fix and the break is not likely Chrome related.
