AVAST SECURE BROWSER always reverts to unwanted dark mode

Hi
My avast secure browser keeps reverting and starting in dark mode even after I try keeping my setting in light mode.
Annoying and do not want dark mode.
any assistance would be helpful.

don't want to put in a ticket to support, always too many hoops to jump through to get assistance.
