Recover Browser Tabs
« on: September 02, 2023, 05:57:22 PM »
I have found many similar topics, but I haven't found a good solution to recover unintentionally deleted Avast Secure Browser data using Avast Cleanup. I was using Avast to do some cleanup and accidently cleared the tab history. Is there a way to undo, restore a file, folder or registry key to recover my tabs in Avast Secure Browser?

I do have it backed up with Acronis and can restore a folder or file from 3-ish weeks ago.

Thanks

Sorry, none that I know of.
Once you agree to having the data cleared, it's gone.

I figured the info has to be stored somewhere and was hopeful someone knew where the data was stored. If I restore the data from my Acronis backup, it's right back to where I last backed up. I was hoping to avoid going back in time.

Not necessarily since you OK'd it's removal.

Thanks for the reply. I understand what you are saying. It is currently not on my computer. However, I have a full backup of the entire system, OS and all data drives. I can take my backup and restore the entire system at which point all the tabs will be restored, but the last backup is 3 weeks old. If I knew where they are stored, I could restore the file, files, or folder they were in and recover my tabs.

I did a restore of C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software and C:\Users\Ron\AppData\Local\AVAST Software\ with no tab recovery.

I can always go in and one by one add all the tabs but I had well over 200 tabs. Just looking to save some time from looking up all the URL’s.

Thanks
