Reported a false positive url and got an odd email back
« on: September 09, 2023, 09:17:04 PM »
I reported a false positive url that popped up when I was updating InternetDownloadManager. The url blocked was one of the update server urls.

So I wrote a falsep positive report and just got an email back saying that my request type was "I want to cancel my contract and request refund".

None of the information I wrote in the description is in this email.

Rather depends on where you reported this ?
Reporting a Possible False Positive File or Website - https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php.
You should get a response in a day or two.

I haven't seen anything in the forums of getting a spurious reply like this when using that link.

If it is the same link, I would suggest reporting it again and giving a link back to this topic in the report.  You could put the information in this topic (but no active links) domain name and file name only.
