Recent update is causing BSODs
« on: October 05, 2023, 08:11:50 PM »
Been fighting an issue on a computer all day. After managing to pull some crash dump logs from the affected system, I was able to identify the avast virtualization service as the probable culprit.

I can consistently recreate the issue by simply turning on Avast, then attempting to launch Teams.

AswSnx.sys appears to be hitting some bad addresses.

Ideas for fixing? Is it a known issue or should I uninstall and reinstall to repair it?

After a day of wrestling with this I believe I have isolated it to the Behavior Shield feature under File Shield.

It appears something in a recent update to MS Teams is being deemed suspicious, and the response makes a reference to memory that causes a crash.
