resfixv32.exe
« on: January 09, 2008, 08:03:05 PM »
Friend of mine (whom I recommended switch to Avast! Home Edition), spent several hours last night cleaning up from resfix32v.exe, with no blocking or warning from Avast  :o

Any ideas what might have gone wrong?

This is new can you send a copy of the file to Avast from the chest

EDIT the only sensible data I have found - so it looks like a manual clean http://www.prevx.com/filenames/X1895984415450498017-0/RESFIX32V.EXE.html

Hello essexboy,

I found a nice cleansing routine for this here:
http://forum.programosy.pl/z-trojanem-vp690997.html
It is in Polish, if you want me to clear it up, I can translate the essentials, but the fixscripts are obvious I think, at least it will lead you in the right direction, together with the info I send you as a PM,

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!
