Friend of mine (whom I recommended switch to Avast! Home Edition), spent several hours last night cleaning up from resfix32v.exe, with no blocking or warning from Avast
Any ideas what might have gone wrong?

This is new can you send a copy of the file to Avast from the chest
EDIT the only sensible data I have found - so it looks like a manual clean

It is in Polish, if you want me to clear it up, I can translate the essentials, but the fixscripts are obvious I think, at least it will lead you in the right direction, together with the info I send you as a PM,
