can avast be started in private mode?????
« on: January 18, 2024, 04:44:24 PM »
It is a real pain in the ass to start avast, then go to private mode.  Can it be started in private mode???  Perhaps there is (or should be) a command line switch for that or a setting.

(As an aside, your verification to post process still thinks it's 2023... might want to update it.)

The verification point has been made several times and it isn't clear, if this is an Avast thing (under moderator control) of a Forum Software (SMF) issue.

You will be happy to know that t=you shouldn't have this problem now you have 3 posts.

hello,

the browser doesn't contain such a setting. However, it can be done via the browser's shortcut.

You can add the following `--incognito' parameter to the command line, for example in the browser's desktop shortcut, right-click the shortcut and add the parameter to the end of the command line as shown in the attached screenshot:

Note also that if you pin the Browser to the taskbar then the right-click
menu has a selection to open in Private Mode.
