Avast Icon on My Android Device

I installed the Avast app for my android device.  Now i have a little avast logo stuck to my screen. It isn't a shortcut or the app itself.  Just the icon to let me know its working i guess.  How can i stop it from displaying?

Phone settings -> Apps -> AMS -> Notifications -> Notification categories. Turn off "Permanent".
