PC optimizer tool by Avast[...] Ask about the[...] PC clean-up tool on our forum!

I've been on-and-off interested in the utility, however I do have at least a handful of manual/custom registry entries I either edit or insert for what I consider "Quality of Life" necessities.

My worry is that while this tool will do as advertised and vacuum up a bunch of junk I don't need, it may inadvertently go through and **** up these entries when run.

Does anyone have experience/background on this that can weigh in? I know I can back up the reg hives in case, and I don't mind paying for services, but I don't want to waste the money if it's not helpful; and frankly my system(s) aren't having issues despite the "reported junk/etc" that pops up after every scan and offers me this utility.

(I don't expect certified advice, consider any responses to be disclaimed from official/backed advice, at my own risk, yadda yadda)
