« on: March 04, 2024, 06:15:00 PM »
So a few days ago my avast notified me that a zip file that i opened had malicious content in it. I cant remember what it said so I looked in the notification tab but it wasnt there. Then I looked in the settings and looked for the logs but i couldnt read them nore did they had any information that would have helped me. Im a bit worried bcs I used to open this zip file before but i wasnt warned by avast. And I dont know what it did since I dont remember what the warning said. Please, I need help ASAP.

Did you unzip the folder's contents? If so, do you remember where you unzipped the folder's contents to? If you do and the files are still there, scan the files with Avast and see if you get any messages.

I had unziped the first version of the file but then deleted it and then didn't unzip the new version of the file, the file was put in quarantine and was deleted there

Then you're probably fine.

Not a valid URL address.  hXXps://kiddionsmodmenu.what? .com .org. .ru what?

I can check site without getting infected and show results of scan but need the full url do to so.

If the its.com is the correct site, then I can visit that without an Avast alert.
See attached image.

Done some checks:
This scan reports some security issues - https://en.internet.nl/site/its.com/2692947/
Nothing found here - https://www.virustotal.com/gui/url/2156442af742ac19ceedfa6a56d5a3ff6e0825611d7fa54f606da09e00a7466e?nocache=1
Low Security Risk reported here - https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/its.com - but issues and hardening improvements reported.
Minimal security risk reported here - https://quttera.com/detailed_report/its.com - but what is seen are 639 external links, one or more of these could impact on site security. That said many of them are to its.com/wp-content/plugins which I wouldn't class as external. Some going to cts.businesswire.com.

These may or may not have an impact on any detection (though as I said I was able to connect without an avast alert.

OK, those links in my post are sites that you can post the URL into and it does the checks and returns the results.

e.g
https://www.virustotal.com/gui/url/75066b8daa15a3826c8832d93452c2d9c0fc363f40157945d4aa31944333276a/detection
https://en.internet.nl/site/kiddionsmodmenu.com/2695126/
https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/https/kiddionsmodmenu.com

My whole problem was that I used a File that was a Virus with me not knowing it, now Im looking for a way to find my old warn message avast gave me so I know what the File did so I can further solve the issue.
