cmd.exe detected as IDP.Generic
« on: March 27, 2024, 08:59:11 AM »
I heard lots of stuff like IDP.Generic would be a false positive; but I recently clean installed Windows 11 and EVERY TIME I boot up my PC this Avast detects a blocked threat and plays the three beeps - blocked threat is cmd.exe detected as IDP.Generic - Command line detection. Moving to quarantine doesn't help; happens with every boot. Can somebody tell me tf is happening?

Worth noting that I have genuine Windows 11 activated with a bought product key, issue happens at every single PC boot-up and Windows Terminal still works despite moving the so-called "threat" to quarantine; every time I access it it detects it as IDP.Generic.

Also at boot-up Windows Terminal flashes three times on the screen. Malwarebytes keeps telling there is no malware.
