Strange behavior with Internet connection
« on: April 26, 2024, 09:47:31 AM »
Hey guys,

So I have this strange thing going on with my laptop, OS Name -Microsoft Windows 11 Home - Avast Free Antivirus 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.832)
Internet is breaking randomly and it wont start working again until I disable Avast shield control for a few seconds - then the internet starts working as soon as I disable it. Then I can normally enable back shields and it all keeps works normally.

So Avast is causing this strange internet loss and i tried resinstalling network drivers, tried resetting router tried everything. The only thing that helps is for me to disable shield control for a few settings - then internet comes back.

I suspect of some virus but when I do a complete boot time scan, everything is fine.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Yup done that couple times. Avas even asked me to do it.

Still same problem, happens once per day, and it does not repeat after the first time. Only once per day, bcs laptop keeps running all day from am to pm when I shut it down.

Thanks.

Microsoft Windows Defender should re-activate if you uninstall Avast Free.  Be sure to update virus definitions asap.

Run this setup for a day or so to see if internet breaks with a different antivirus.
