After last Update. Avast declares old PDFs as PhishingX
« on: July 23, 2024, 02:20:12 PM »
Hello everyone,

Since the last update, Avast has been moving old emails with PDF attachments to quarantine.
The files were generated by my CRM (vTiger). Until now, I never had any problems.
It started with blocking the download of the PDF because the CRM runs on a NAS without SSL. After I created an exception for the NAS, the download worked.
However, the PDFs were all declared as PhishingX and moved to quarantine. I have since resolved this issue. Avast was disturbed by a page break in the document.
I deleted the page break. But now Avast is going through my old emails in Outlook (which I sent myself) and deleting them. What kind of nonsense is this?

Does anyone have an idea how I can stop this, apart from changing the antivirus software?

Regards

Avast will block PDF files if they contain a clickable URL that is on avast blacklist
