Win32:Onlinegames-CAZ [Trj]
« on: February 06, 2008, 10:03:01 AM »
I found this trojan this morning. Avast wasn't able to remove it or to put it in the bin.

That's the log:    Sign of "Win32:Onlinegames-CAZ [trj]" has been found in "C:\WINDOWS\system32\amvo0.dll" file.

Is it dangerous, it seems to be a password stealer, how can i remove it?

Thanks

You don't say why avast wasn't able to remove it, error messages, (file in use, etc.) ?

If you have XP, vista32bit or Win2k, you could enable a boot time scan. Right click the avast icon, select Start avast! Antivirus, Menu, 'Schedule boot-time scan...' Or see http://www.digitalred.com/avast-boot-time.php.

Avast still not detect this new type of variant...
this virus usually generated from the autorun.ing from ur pendrive...
if can try to open ur autorun.inf to see what application of virus that already infected to your com or laptops..

Hello guys,
i`m new in the forum.
Have the same problem since Wensday 6/2/08.
Every time  i start the computer avast says that there is: "Win32:Onlinegames-CAZ [trj]".
I tried to solve the problem following ur instructions by enabling the boot time scan, avast said that it found the virus and moved it to chest but still  every time i start the computer the virus is there.

Would be grateful if you could gimme some advice.

The amvo0.dll file name vaguely rings a bell as having been in a recent topic in this forum, try a forum search for amvo0.dll abd see what it returns.
