Srartup scan afterinstallation

Hello all,hope you have a good weekend,

just wondering IF someone could tell me plz
after initial installation of a new version of Avast, & it automatically does a startup scan,

HOW or WHERE can i have it do another startup scan after rebooting,I cannot seem to find that option,(not every time but only when i would like to have t run)

        Can someone tell me or explain where i find this option

I assume you aren't actually using the avast server edition (the forum you have posted in), if not hopefully one of the moderators can move it.

The Home or Pro version can schedule a boot-time scan, this is a one time operation (so you don't have it happening every boot).

If you have XP, vista32bit or Win2k, you could enable a boot time scan. Right click the avast icon, select Start avast! Antivirus, Menu, 'Schedule boot-time scan...' Or see http://www.digitalred.com/avast-boot-time.php.
