I believe that this may also be affecting one of our clients. It is has occurred on many other machines running Outlook 2003 & 2007 and disabling the avast outlook add-in prevents further hangs. I'm going to try disabling the Internet Mail module to see if this allows the outlook add-in to function without outlook crashing. Another thing that I noticed after researching the event logs on one of the affected user's machine is that there is a particular .NET error that occurs and then shortly after Outlook crashes. The .NET error is
