It is vitally important that combofix is renamed before it is even started to download


Please download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.

**Note:  In the event you already have Combofix, this is a new version that I need you to download. It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop**

• If you are using Firefox, make sure that your download settings are as follows:

     -Tools->Options->Main tab
     -Set to "Always ask me where to Save the files".

• During the download, rename Combofix to Combo-Fix as follows:

• It is important you rename Combofix during the download, but not after.
• Please do not rename Combofix to other names, but only to the one indicated.
• Close any open browsers.
• Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix

well i just googled the reditty popup and this was one of the first sites on the list. I seen other people getting help here and figured i would ask. I could of asked ESET, or Dell, since i have only had the laptop for 3 days and it shipped to me with this issue. Seems dell throws on some malware and adware. 1. Disable System Restore and reenable it after step 3.
2. Clean your temporary files.
3. Scan with NOD32.
4. Use SUPERantispyware and/or Spyware Terminator to scan for spywares and trojans. If any infection is detected, better and safer is send the file to Quarantine than to simple delete than.
5. Test your machine with anti-rootkit applications. I suggest avast! antirootkit or Trend Micro RootkitBuster.
6. Make a HijackThis log to post here or, better, submit the RunScanner log to to on-line analysis.
7. Immunize your system with SpywareBlaster or Windows Advanced Care.
8. Check if you have insecure applications with Secunia Software Inspector.
