Sudden Loss of .Dll's
« on: April 23, 2008, 01:11:40 AM »
Help Anyone!!!
I have experienced a loss of .dll's. I was running C.O.D.2 multiplayer and closed the program, when I was alerted by AdWatch that my computer being attacked. The end result was that all the program dll's were removed from my computer so no program would run, except windows xp would reboot, but still no programs would run. The end result was that the hard drive was reformatted and everything reinstalled. I was running Avast Pro and Adaware Pro. There was no advanced warning or anything. I'm not sure if it was a trojan or a virus. It has happened to another computer of a person I know recently!
Any help would be appreciated.

Well... after formating will be difficult to say what were that files... they could be malware but who knows... better asking before reformating.
Anyway, glad you're clean now. Welcome to avast forums.
