Hi Polonus. I'm trying out the "World Browser 2.1 version for Wins 98." So far it seems to be working fine. Thanks for the heads up on this one. Have a nice day.  ;)

Being a bit of a vague browser I doubt it is on the list of supported browsers, so the web shield won't scan the http traffic for it. You would need to use the optin function in the web shield section of the avast4.ini.

Quote from: e.g.
[WebScanner]
OptinProcess=executableFileName.exe

Adding the line OptinProcess= if it doesn't exist.

Well these tutorials are for IE and Firefox, I don't know if they can be equated to the settings in the world browser.

For IE - broadband users: - Tutorial - Web Shield Proxy Set-up for IE
For IE - dialup users - Tutorial - Web Shield Proxy Set-up for IE (Dial-up)
For Firefox users - Tutorial - Web Shield Proxy Set-up for Firefox

But did you also add the world browser executable file to the optinprocess in avast4.ini as was previously mentioned ?
