could someone explain this, thanx. Cheers.

ICMP [8] Echo Request to web.nextra.cz [195.70.130.34] was permitted by rule 'Outgoing PING command'

ICMP
  • Echo Reply from kitty.avast.com [66.98.166.72] was permitted by rule 'Outgoing PING command (Incoming Reply)'


This is from localhost. It happens every time I boot my PC. What is it..?

avast! tries to detect your Internet connection by pinging its update servers in order to check for the updates. You can find the compete list of servers together with the explanation here...
