i tried what you have sad
but nothing changed ..
red box is still here..
i am right clicking the avast icon>updating>iavs update ...it connects to internet searches for updates and says me that i am already uptodate but about screen and windows and red box says i am not uptodate

i am using windows x64 .. no other security software.. i was using avast for a long time but that thing satarted for about a week ago.. no major changes in the system...

No reason for that. The public part of the license key could be posted there.
Can you see into avast Log Viewer if there are info automatic updates of avast, I mean, errors, failure reasons... Your log seems ok.

Is your system time/date correct?
Did you install the license key correctly? Which is the validity date for it?
Did you have any other antivirus before avast?
Did you use the trial period of avast?

today avast said that there is a new version of database available.. and after i installed it the problem disappeared.. now i can update
