EF Checksum Manager 5.00 really isn't a virus...
« on: July 11, 2008, 01:55:21 AM »
As a registered user of EF Softwares EF Checksum Manager 5.00 I am unable to install or run the software because avast4 Pro keeps attacking the EFCMRES.DLL as a virus. Is there any way to tell avast4 it is OK and to "play nice" with the program?

As a workaround, try to use the avast Exclusion lists (at least the Standard Shield one, on-access).
They usually correct false positives very quickly.

OK! I will try the exclusion list for now...

A related question -- Maybe I missed it but where do you report avast4 "false positives" to. I checked the home page but did not see any options for sending bug reports.
