hi,

For the last couple of days I've been trying to remove ROOTKIT from my computor. I delete it and it always comes back.  It came in as ( Antivirus XP 2008 ).  Impossible to uninstall and very difficult to close.  I have reported it but i'm getting very frustrated.  Please Help!!!!   :)   :(

Download MBAM then install it then update its definitions then run a quick scan.

You may be asked to reboot.

Antivirus XP 2008 is not a rootkit but a rogue antivirus.

I suggest:

SuperAntiSpyware Free
Spybot - Search & Destroy
Spyware Terminator (exclude the crawler toolbar, add on, and the ClamAV module)
RogueRemover
