What happened here?
« on: August 21, 2008, 09:51:20 AM »
My SiteAdvisor safe search icons are displaying at the wrong place. I've tried restarting firefox and re-installing Site Advisor.

I've attached a screenshot.

Are you using the WOT add on, maybe that's why

Yes but before this they appear side-by-side.

I've uninstalled WOT but it still appears like that and I even restarted my computer... same results...

I had the same thing with the siteadvisor (and WOT) in firefox and I never gave it a moments thought as it had never displayed anywhere else.

However I have ditched the siteadvisor add-on as it simply isn't a reliable resource now with it giving wildly differing results from other similar add-ons, reporting some as bad that aren't and some that are good which are plainly wrong. Add to that being a dial-up user it also throttled my browsing bandwidth. So for those reasons it is history on my system, nothing to do with aesthetics.

Drop SiteAdvisor, keep WOT. This is the status of recommendations nowadays.

Sorry to reply to an old topic...

I haven't turned on my computer for 4 days and it fixed it self. Re-installed WOT and no problems so far with both working fine...

But I should re-consider uninstalling SiteAdvisor and keeping WOT.

Personally I don't feel siteadvisor is worth keeping, stick with WOT.
