has anyone heard of rising antivirus free edition?does ayone know if it's any good?

I have no need to try it as I'm happy with avast and you can't try another resident AV at the same time as the potential is for a clash of their components.

I don't got looking for replacement applications unless there is something wrong with the existing one.

Change for changes sack is pointless, especially when you have to uninstall your existing AV possibly compromising your security just for a change is the kind of change I can do without. An old adage, 'if it isn't broke don't fix it,' or seek a replacement for avast which certainly isn't broken.
