Results of Last Scan window
« on: September 08, 2008, 10:50:35 PM »
Ok - Bear with me here for I know not what I am talking about .... :)
Every time I run a scan this window appears afterwards which lists a full page of files which were apparently not able to be scanned. The exact message for each one is ...Unable to scan. The system cannot find the path specified.

The thing is, to me the files listed all look like they would be fairly major ones :
C:\Documents and Settings
C:\ProgramData\Application Data
C:\ProgramData\Desktop
C:\ProgramData\Documentsc
C:\ProgramData \Favorites ..... and so on. There are 28 of them listed in all - including 21 which all start with C:\Users...

So should I be worried that a large chunk of files isnt being scanned, or does this look quite normal ??
Thanks  :)

Vista uses circular links to %Program Files% and %Users% folders.
Avast is just reporting it. You can uncheck the options for reporting soft and hard errors on the avast settings.
It was a problem, already solved (http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=27330.msg223192#msg223192). Now, the only thing that rests is the reporting.
