avast from terminal??

can you run avast from terminal in linux?? seems it would be easier to run a command line....

thanks for your opinion - of course, commandline is the best thing in the world. In bare Avast4Workstation, use "avast" instead of "avastgui". In the fact, it's a thin wrapper around the cmdline "avastcmd" application (which is part of avast4 server package, but isn't license-dependent, thus is free).

Btw. there's also "avastlite" client for the avastd daemon (also from avast4 server package), but this daemon needs license.

running it from terminal scans much faster too.......


those windows running folk dont knwo what they are missing  ;D

Terminal is hard to use if you don't know the commands. Like me...  :'(
